Hike

Determined to keep true to our NY resolution ---- 1 hike a month --- Solstice Canyon in Santa Monica!

Thanks to Nicole for reminding us of this great hike! It's been years since we'd made it back here.

This hike is up in Malibu and the higher we climbed the more amazing the view. I (accidently) chose a pretty aggressive start ----- all up hill ---- but once we got to the peak and started down hill, I was forgiven! The kids are standing on some old "ruins" --- a foundation of a house that burned due to a wild fire.

Love this cool burned out tree ---- the kids cold climb down (or up) through the hollowed trunk. A true Alice In Wonderland feel!!

This tree, with it's giant canopy and hole in the trunk, deserves to be in a good fantasy store!
