I wasn't really sure this was going to be hit for my 9 year old son because the main character is a girl. But she's a cavegirl with a caveboy brother and there are dinosaurs.....so I hoped he'd be intrigued.

I had to twist his arm to allow me to read the first chapter, but after a few pages he was hooked and begging me to finish the book! It's a wonderful story of Oona who finds and tends to an egg. Only to find it's been stolen by the local bully.

All of this is peppered by wonderful illustrations by Mike Wu.

I even caught my 10 year old daughter having a good read one evening! (see pic above).

Now we're looking forward to the next book!!!
