October!

What an amazing weekend we just had!!! It was the perfect Beach Day, Brian golfed and the kids and I joined our great neighbors for some hours down in the sand and surf. Clear, blue skies, hot sun and a sea lion sighting! This little guy literally swam close to the shore --- between the surfers and the swimmers! It was funny to watch as he popped up and freaked people out!! But I thought he was beautiful!! I ran with the kids down the beach trying to follow him. These are the moments I truly love Southern California!

Lots of Stuff

It's been a busy back-to-school start. I'm even suprised at how much longer it's taking to get into a routine. The kids are both Lator Gaters, which means they don't get to school until 9;00 am. And I am very thankful for that. Especially since they were both in a dead sleep at 8:00 this morning!!! Just one fun night and I can hear the sniffling starting up!!

Here are a few photos of Emily's cheer and William's Y-Guides Indian tribe.

Great Blog

I have fallen in love with

www.designmom.com

She's a very talented writer, researcher, interviewer and all things Mom. She has SIX kids!! And she and her husband moved to France, rented a cottage that looks like a postcard, and they have just now moved back to the US to take up residenence in the San Fran area. Crazy, right?

I enjoy reading her posts on how different homes around the globe function --- decorating-wise with kids. I adore reading her experiences in France; esepcially the food, the child rearing, and the schools there. Very interesting.

They also have a company called www.oliveus.com

Beautiful videos their family creates on all kinds of things --- from stacking wood  to visiting an apple orchard.

I think we'll be seeing more and more from this family!

Here's a post on their new success on partnering with Ulive ---
