Don't they look so happy?
Ha! here we are at The Great Wolf Lodge! Reservations were set months ago and today was the lucky day we visited this fun hotel/waterpark.
As with all amusement parks these days, you're going to drop a chunk of change and we did. Although for what we would have spent at a day in Disneyland, we got two days of fun waterslides, a wave pool, lazy river and night away. There were lots of ways to spend MORE money but we stayed away from the bowling, arcades and magic wand scavenger hunt --- all cleverly located at the very beginning of where you walk to get into the waterpark.
To me, this is a bucket list adventure. Fun and crazy --- literally, time stopped still in this concrete box filled with noise, warm, moist air and as much "fun" food as you could eat! (just scan the chip embedded into your "magic" bracelet and enjoy w/out having to pull out a wallet! The bill will be there when you check out. This is when technology is really cool.)
We had a great time. And the kids are at ages and sizes where we rode a big ride all together as a family and had a blast. It was EXHAUSTING! After walking up the many steps holding onto tubes, having chlorine splashed into your eyes and screaming your head off while traveling down swirling tubes of water --- I was spent! By day 2 were wrapping up around 2:00 pm. But
If you can swing it ---- go now. It's new, it's in great condition, and it's a novelty.
