It's just the kind of place to inspire you for a little creativity!!

Wish I could get out there and bring a garden to life!!

Great Falls

So...I spent my life from 4th Grade through 12th living in Great Falls, Virginia. I moved back for a while after college and then ended up living closer to DC. But what I loved about Great Falls...is, well, they have some Falls, that are really great!

It is really beautiful here --- reminds me of all the times I came here to climb around on the rocks and hike from one area to the other. Across the water is Maryland. That side is also very pretty. But of course.....I am partial to the Virginia side.

There's also a lot of history here -----

The remains of an old lock that was used in transporting goods to DC.

This was a gorgeous day and we took advantage of it!

Into the City!!!

We decided to get into the city and show the kids a few monuments and the Natural History Museum. We were joined by some old friends --- the Browne Family --- who were so sweet to drive down from PA to see us!

First Metro ride!!

Couldn't have asked for a more beautiful day!! It was windy but I won't complain with that much sunshine!

He couldn't have asked for more!! Surrounded by his dinos!!

Yep. You saw him. Flat Stanley tagged along --- part of Emily's 1st grade project. My Mom needed a little push to get Stanley to some sites, so we brought him along. I think he had a good time!
